Custom Domain Management

The "Custom Domain" management feature allows eStore owners to personalize their store's URL, enhancing brand identity and customer trust. Here’s a guide for utilizing this feature effectively:

Establish Your Brand with a Custom Domain

Personalize your eStore with a custom domain, setting your business apart with a professional web address.

Setting Up a Custom Domain

To set up a custom domain for your eStore:

  1. Log into your dashboard.

  2. Navigate to 'Custom Domain' in the sidebar menu.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure you have a domain name registered through a domain registrar (e.g., Namecheap, GoDaddy).

  • You'll need to configure DNS settings in your domain registrar account by adding the provided CNAME and A records.

  • These DNS records link your domain to the eStore, making your site accessible at your custom domain.

DNS Configuration

  • CNAME Record: For the 'www' version of your site, point it to estores.app.

  • A Record: Direct the Apex domain (yourdomain.com) to the provided IP address if using services like Cloudflare.

Custom Domain Requests

  • After updating DNS settings, submit your custom domain request through your eStore dashboard.

  • The system will verify the DNS configurations and connect your custom domain to your eStore.

Unique Feature Highlight

  • This customization feature is not just a technical setup but a transformation of your eStore's brand.

  • A unique domain name builds brand recognition and establishes a professional online presence.

  • It enhances SEO and marketing efforts, as a custom domain is more memorable and sharable.

After Submission

  • Keep track of your custom domain request status in the dashboard.

  • Once approved, your eStore will be accessible at the new custom domain.

Best Practices for Custom Domains

  • Choose a domain name that is easy to spell, memorable, and reflects your brand.

  • Regularly check your domain's renewal dates to avoid lapses in service.

  • Use your new domain in marketing materials and customer communications for consistent branding.
